INFORMATION REGARDING

THE COVID-19 VIRUS 

In light of recent develops pertaining to COVID-19 and in keeping with the guidelines set forth and mandated by our governing body, the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO), on March 15th, 2020; effective immediately to our office has suspended all non-essential and elective dental services. However, should a dental emergency arise whereby you are in acute pain, have swelling of dental origin or have experienced dental trauma, our team with discretion will continue to remain available to provide dental services under those circumstances.

Should you have a dental emergency, please contact Dr. Daniel Spinnato at 519-381-1483 and arrangements will be made to schedule an appointment as soon as possible.

Q: I have a lost a crown, filling, or have broken my tooth, is there something safe that can temporarily repair these issues during this time?

A: The RCDSO has defined an emergency situation and based off of these guidelines, a lost crown, filling, or broken tooth, without pain, is not a "true dental emergency" during the COVID-19 outbreak. Therefore, our dentists recommend using Dentemp Loose Cap and Filling repair. If you are experiencing pain, please contact our on-call dentist, Dr. Spinnato who can screen your situation over the phone, and determine if clinical intervention is needed.

Q: I have an existing appointment with Dr. Rocca or Dr. Spinnato, what should I do?

​

A: Should you already have an upcoming appointment scheduled at our office; one of our office administrators will be in contact with you shortly to tentatively reschedule your visit for a later date. The recommencement of dental services will take place once again based on the direction provided by the RCDSO in consultation with Public Health Ontario. We anticipate this taking place within the first week of April. Patients will be rescheduled in chronological order, commencing with those rescheduled on Monday, March 16th, 2020 receiving first priority.
